Scientists probe Gut's role in debilitating cancer side effects
NCT ID NCT06098404
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between gut bacteria and two common, debilitating side effects of cancer treatment: severe fatigue and cognitive problems (often called 'chemo brain'). Researchers will enroll 250 adult cancer patients and analyze their gut bacteria while tracking their fatigue levels and thinking skills over six months. The goal is to identify patterns that could lead to better ways to manage these symptoms in the future.
