Cancer Drug's hidden heart risk: small study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT04813913

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a common cancer drug (bevacizumab/Avastin) affects the heart and blood vessels in patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Researchers measured artery stiffness and blood pressure in 13 patients before and during treatment to see if these heart-related side effects were linked to how well the cancer responded. The goal was to gather knowledge to better predict and manage these risks for future patients.
