Scientists test Four-Drug cocktail in fight against tough cancers

NCT ID NCT01087554

Summary

This early-stage study aims to find the safest and most effective doses of combining the drug vorinostat with one of three other cancer drugs (sirolimus, everolimus, or temsirolimus) in patients with advanced cancer that hasn't responded to standard treatments. Researchers will enroll up to 249 patients to test different dose levels and monitor for side effects. The goal is to control cancer growth and see if these drug combinations are tolerable and show promise for future treatment.
