Scientists test new drug duo to starve and stop tough cancers
NCT ID NCT01364051
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a combination of two oral drugs, cediranib and selumetinib, in patients with advanced solid tumors that cannot be removed by surgery and have no standard treatment options. The main goals are to find the safest dose and understand the side effects of using these drugs together. The drugs aim to work by blocking signals that tumors use to grow and by cutting off their blood supply.
