Summary
This study is testing a program to screen cancer patients for emotional distress and connect those who need help with mental health services. It involves 50 English- or Spanish-speaking adults with a new solid tumor cancer diagnosis at a specific NYC hospital. The goal is to see if this screening and referral program works well for a diverse group of patients and to learn how often patients are referred for support.
