Phone calls help cancer patients stay active and manage pain
NCT ID NCT01721343
Summary
This study tested whether regular phone check-ins and support from care managers could help people with advanced cancer stay mobile and manage pain. Over 500 participants with stage 3 or 4 cancer were assigned to different levels of phone-based support for six months. The goal was to see if this approach could improve their ability to move around, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.
