Scientists probe why stomach cancer spreads to the brain

NCT ID NCT07464470

Summary

This study aims to understand if the molecular markers used to guide treatment in stomach and esophageal cancers change when the cancer spreads to the brain. Researchers will analyze stored tissue samples from 30 patients to compare the original tumor with its brain metastasis. The goal is to see if treatments targeting these markers might need to be adjusted for brain tumors.
