NCT ID NCT05350631

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a phone app called OnKO-Tips&Tricks can improve the quality of life for adolescents and young adults (ages 15-25) recently diagnosed with cancer. The app helps with daily check-ins, education, and connecting with a nurse coordinator. Researchers will compare app users to non-users over 6 months, focusing on emotional and social well-being.

Active substance

OnKO-Tips&Tricks digital phone application

What this could lead to

If it works, this app could help teens and young adults with cancer feel better emotionally and socially, and make it easier to manage their care.

What could go wrong

This is a relatively small study (200 people) testing a support tool, not a treatment. The app may not significantly improve quality of life, and results may not apply to everyone.
