Summary
This study tested a new, standardized interview guide for doctors to use when telling a patient they have cancer. Researchers worked with 252 adult cancer patients and their caregivers to see if the guide was reliable and easy for nurses to use. The goal was to create a better, more consistent tool for these difficult conversations, not to provide a treatment.
