Could a Weight-Loss plan slow puberty and change a Girl's future health?
NCT ID NCT07460544
Summary
This study is testing whether a family-based health program can slow down the start of puberty in girls who are overweight. Researchers will enroll 240 girls from lower-income families. Half will receive a 5-month program focused on healthy eating and activity, while the other half will get standard care and educational handouts. The goal is to see if the program delays puberty, which is linked to better long-term physical and mental health.
