NCT ID NCT05865561
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study is looking for 100 adults with drug-resistant epilepsy to see if their body odor changes before a seizure. Researchers will collect scent samples and analyze them to find unique chemical markers. If successful, this could lead to a non-invasive device that warns people of an upcoming seizure, improving safety and quality of life.
