Patients vs. doctors: who can best diagnose back pain?

NCT ID NCT06630676

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether people with long-term low back pain can correctly identify the source of their pain after learning about common causes. About 269 participants will review slides showing pain patterns for different conditions, then guess their top two diagnoses. Researchers will compare those guesses to the diagnoses made by their doctors to see how well they match.
