Phone cameras could help diagnose tonsil problems at home
NCT ID NCT07205653
Summary
This study is testing whether people can accurately measure the size of their own tonsils using simple tools like a mirror, flashlight, or phone camera. About 90 medical students will try to classify their tonsils using two standard scales. The goal is to see if this self-assessment is reliable enough to help patients with issues like sleep apnea or swallowing problems get faster referrals to specialists, saving time and healthcare resources.
