First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether telling smokers their 'pulmonary age' (how old their lungs act) helps them quit. About 100 smokers aged 25+ will either get their lung age or not, then be checked at 6 and 12 months. The goal is to see if this simple tool makes quitting easier.
