Lung age test may boost quit rates for smokers

NCT ID NCT04276116

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether telling smokers their 'pulmonary age' (how old their lungs act compared to their real age) helps them quit. About 100 adult smokers will either get their lung age measured or just standard advice. The main goal is to see if more people stop smoking after 6 months with this extra information.
