Simple pre-op tests may forecast your post-surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07451925

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will observe 100 adults having gallbladder surgery to see if their pre-surgery anxiety and pain from getting an IV can predict how much pain they feel after the operation. Researchers will measure anxiety with a questionnaire and IV pain with a 0-10 scale, then track pain and painkiller use for 12 hours after surgery. The goal is to find simple ways to identify who might need extra pain relief.
