First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a special counseling program (CAMI) designed for Latinx adults who drink heavily and may also use drugs. The program includes discussions about immigration-related stress. Researchers want to see if CAMI reduces heavy drinking days, drug use, and emotional distress compared to just being assessed. About 220 Latinx adults from a primary care clinic will take part and be followed for 12 months.
