Eyes in the room: cameras watch for early warning signs after heart surgery
NCT ID NCT07486258
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study will test whether cameras placed at the bedside can safely and accurately measure vital signs like heart rate and breathing in 250 adults recovering from heart surgery. The camera readings will be compared to standard nurse checks using skin sensors. The goal is to see if camera monitoring can spot complications earlier and predict whether a patient is getting better or worse. Patients and staff will also share their thoughts on using this technology in daily care.
