First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tested whether small devices called Calypso beacons can help doctors track lung tumors during radiation treatment. 48 people with lung cancer took part. The beacons were placed near the tumor and sent signals to show its exact location while the patient held their breath. The goal was to see if this method is practical and accurate for guiding radiation.
