Calming the chaos: new hope for easing Kids' Post-Surgery agitation
NCT ID NCT07345715
Summary
This study aims to find the better option for preventing agitation and distress when children wake up from tonsil and adenoid removal surgery. Researchers will compare a melatonin pill with a misted medication called dexmedetomidine, given before anesthesia. The trial involves 96 children aged 3 to 7 to see which treatment helps kids wake up more calmly and with less pain.
