Blood test may predict sepsis survival in ICU

NCT ID NCT07285499

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether a simple blood test score, called the CALLY index, can help predict how well adult sepsis patients will do in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers reviewed medical records of 276 patients to see if the CALLY index was linked to the risk of death within 30 days or kidney problems. No new treatments or procedures were given, so there was no added risk to patients.
