Common supplement could make childbirth safer and faster

NCT ID NCT06352775

Summary

This study is testing whether giving calcium carbonate, a common over-the-counter supplement, to pregnant people during labor induction can make the process safer and more efficient. Researchers will compare 250 participants who receive the supplement against past patients who did not, looking to see if it shortens induction time, reduces cesarean deliveries, and improves outcomes for both mother and baby.
