First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether a personalized caffeine schedule helps people stay alert and think clearly during 62 hours of total sleep deprivation better than the usual caffeine recommendations. 180 healthy adults aged 18-39 will wear activity monitors and complete reaction time tests at home and in the lab. The goal is to find a dosing plan that boosts performance while reducing side effects and sleep disruption.
