Caffeine boost tested for Jiu-Jitsu grip strength
NCT ID NCT07479875
Summary
This study tested whether taking 400mg of caffeine 30 minutes before exercise improves grip strength and endurance in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes. Fifteen experienced male athletes completed two testing sessions—one with caffeine and one with a placebo—to compare performance on specific grip strength tests. Researchers measured how many repetitions athletes could complete and how long they could hold positions while wearing the traditional Jiu-Jitsu uniform.
