Summary
This study looked at how long healthy men chew caffeinated gum affects how quickly caffeine gets into their blood. Thirty men chewed gum with 300 mg of caffeine for either 5 or 10 minutes on separate days. Researchers measured caffeine levels in blood samples over three hours to see if chewing time changes peak caffeine, how fast it peaks, and how long high levels last. The results may help people decide when to use caffeinated gum for a boost.
