This study tests whether adding a preventive procedure (bilateral foraminotomy) during standard neck decompression surgery can lower the risk of C5 palsy, a rare complication that causes arm weakness and pain. About 480 adults with cervical myelopathy (spinal cord compression) will be randomly assigned to receive the extra procedure or not. The goal is to see if this simple addition can improve recovery and quality of life.
