First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether watching immersive 360-degree videos through a VR headset can reduce pain, anxiety, and the need for strong painkillers during dressing changes after burn surgery. About 80 adults who have had skin grafts will try the VR distraction during two dressing changes. Researchers will measure their pain scores and how much opioid medication they use, comparing results to standard care.
