Scientists test hepatitis drug safety in people with liver problems
NCT ID NCT05765344
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to understand how liver function affects the way the body processes bulevirtide, a medication for hepatitis D. Researchers compared 74 participants—some with healthy livers and some with impaired liver function—to measure drug levels in the blood and check for side effects. The goal was to gather safety data to help guide future dosing for patients with liver disease.
