First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests two surgical techniques—using a cheek fat pad or a roof-of-mouth graft—to improve gum healing and prevent implant exposure around zygomatic implants. Eight adults with severe upper jaw bone loss who need these special implants will be randomly assigned to one of the two graft methods. The goal is to see which approach better reduces gum recession and infection risk.
