NCT ID NCT06243445
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether a simple bubble test using ultrasound can accurately show where the tip of a central venous catheter is placed in 22 heart surgery patients. Researchers measured the time it took for bubbles to appear in the heart after injecting saline through the catheter. The goal was to see if this method could replace more complex imaging techniques.
