New hope for severe colitis: experimental drug BRS201 enters human testing

Summary

This study tests a new oral drug called BRS201 in 20 adults with severe ulcerative colitis who have not improved with standard treatments. Participants take the drug twice daily for 4 weeks and attend 8 clinic visits over 12 weeks. The goal is to see if BRS201 can reduce disease activity by targeting sulfur metabolism.
