First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a natural substance called maslinic acid, found in olives, can safely improve health in 50 Chinese adults with excess weight or early signs of metabolic syndrome. Over 12 weeks, researchers will measure changes in blood sugar, body fat, energy use, and brown fat activity. The goal is to see if this nutraceutical approach can help control obesity and related metabolic problems without requiring lifelong medication.
