VA tests quick therapy to help veterans manage chronic pain
NCT ID NCT04724694
Summary
This study tested whether a brief talk therapy program could help veterans better manage chronic pain in primary care settings. 184 veterans with long-term musculoskeletal pain received either six short therapy sessions plus usual care or usual care alone. Researchers measured how well the therapy reduced pain's interference with daily activities and improved quality of life.
