First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a brief training program for teachers of children with behavioral difficulties at school. The training, called PAINT-T, teaches teachers techniques to manage specific problem behaviors in just three sessions. 60 teachers will be randomly assigned to either receive the training or continue with usual support. The goal is to see if the training reduces the severity of daily problem behaviors and improves the classroom environment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
brief behavioral teacher training (PAINT-T program)
What this could lead to
If effective, this training could give teachers a practical tool to reduce disruptive behaviors in the classroom without medication.
What could go wrong
This is a small early-stage trial with only 60 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The training is brief and may not work for all children or settings.
