This trial tests whether a brief, 4-minute audio recording of mindful breathing and mindfulness of pain can lower how unpleasant pain feels compared to a standard audio about pain coping tips. About 200 English- and Spanish-speaking adults seeking care at a free clinic will be randomly assigned to one of the two recordings. The goal is to see if a quick mindfulness exercise can offer immediate relief without medication.
