NCT ID NCT04201288
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a short counseling program called Acceptance-Based Behavior Therapy (ABBT) for people newly diagnosed with HIV. The goal was to help them keep up with their medical appointments and take their HIV medication regularly. 38 adults with HIV took part, and the study compared ABBT to standard HIV education. The results showed whether participants attended enough clinic visits and achieved an undetectable viral load, which is a key sign of good HIV management.
