Summary

This study tests whether brexpiprazole, a medication that balances brain chemicals, can help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. Researchers will also check if a specific gene (DAT1) makes the drug work better for some people. The study involves 250 adults who are not seeking treatment, and includes monitoring drinking habits, a lab bar experiment, and brain scans.
