Could a single infusion curb stress drinking?

Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety and initial effects of a single dose of the medication brexanolone in people who have both PTSD and alcohol use disorder. Researchers want to see if the drug can help reduce drinking triggered by stress. About 25 participants will receive the drug via a 20-hour IV drip and then be monitored for safety and changes in their alcohol use over the next month.
