Summary
This study tested two simple, drug-free methods to help adults feel less pain and anxiety during routine blood draws. Researchers compared using a virtual reality headset to practicing deep breathing exercises. They found that deep breathing was better at reducing pain, while both methods worked equally well for lowering anxiety.
