Can simple breathing exercises ease long COVID's grip?
NCT ID NCT05582642
Summary
This study tested whether a 6-week home training program for the breathing muscles could help people with long COVID who have persistent, unexplained shortness of breath. Eighteen patients used a small device to breathe against resistance twice daily to strengthen their diaphragm. Researchers measured breathing muscle strength and breathlessness before, immediately after, and six weeks after the training to see if it helped.
