Beetroot juice and breathing training: a natural boost for High-Altitude performance?
NCT ID NCT07216755
Summary
This study is testing whether two simple, non-drug approaches can help people exercise more easily in low-oxygen conditions, like at high altitude. Healthy, active adults will try either breathing muscle training, drinking beetroot juice (a natural nitrate source), both, or neither for 4-6 weeks. Researchers will then measure how long participants can cycle in a simulated altitude chamber to see if these methods improve endurance and reduce fatigue.
