New imaging technique aims to free patients from breathing machines
NCT ID NCT07372794
Summary
This study tests whether using a special bedside imaging tool to guide breathing therapy helps critically ill adults get off mechanical ventilators faster. It will compare the new guided approach to standard therapy in 200 patients who have been on a ventilator for at least 21 days. The main goal is to see if patients have more days alive and breathing on their own within 28 days.
