Four-Second breath could ease medical procedure discomfort
NCT ID NCT07328477
Summary
This study is testing if a simple breathing exercise can help people feel less anxious, in less pain, and less nauseous when they undergo an ERCP, a common but uncomfortable medical procedure. About 70 adult patients will be randomly assigned to either learn the 'box breathing' technique or receive standard care alone. Researchers will measure anxiety, pain, and nausea levels before and after the procedure to see if the breathing exercise makes a difference.
