New breathing tech aims to help tiniest babies breathe on their own

NCT ID NCT05446272

Summary

This study tests whether a newer breathing support technology helps extremely premature babies breathe successfully on their own after coming off a ventilator. Researchers are comparing two non-invasive breathing support methods in babies born between 23 and 28 weeks of pregnancy. The goal is to reduce the need for babies to go back on the ventilator and prevent long-term lung damage.
