Scientists probe hidden lung signals in critical breathing support
NCT ID NCT06919484
Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific setting on a breathing machine affects how air and blood flow are distributed in the lungs of patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Researchers will enroll 60 adult patients who are on a ventilator for ARDS. They will use a special imaging technique to measure lung function while adjusting the machine's expiratory settings.
