First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using real-time breathing measurements during surgery can help doctors decide the best way to close the abdominal wall after a large hernia repair. The goal is to reduce the chance of serious breathing problems in the first 72 hours after surgery. About 50 adults who already received a muscle-relaxing injection before surgery will take part. The approach uses standard anesthesia equipment and does not involve any new drugs or devices.
