Summary
This study tests whether temperature sensors placed inside a Venturi mask can monitor breathing patterns in 82 patients hospitalized with pneumonia and respiratory failure. The goal is to see if these patterns can detect early signs of deterioration before patients need a breathing machine. Researchers hope this non-invasive method could improve monitoring compared to current intermittent checks.
