New sensor could predict when oxygen therapy fails
NCT ID NCT07228676
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a new computer algorithm can monitor how hard patients are breathing while receiving high-flow oxygen therapy. The goal is to see if this non-invasive method can predict when the oxygen treatment might fail, potentially helping doctors decide when a patient needs more support. The study involves 20 adult patients in intensive care who are already receiving this type of oxygen therapy.
