Scientists test how low oxygen and high carbon dioxide change your heart and blood flow

NCT ID NCT05441007

Summary

This study aimed to understand how breathing different gas mixtures—some with low oxygen or high carbon dioxide—affects basic body functions in healthy people. Fifteen volunteers breathed different gas combinations while researchers measured their heart function and blood flow. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how the body responds to these breathing challenges, not to treat any condition.
