Breathe easy: simple exercise may ease NICU mom anxiety
NCT ID NCT07634445
First seen Jun 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether doing a short breathing exercise before breastfeeding can lower anxiety and stress in mothers whose babies are in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). About 70 mothers will be split into two groups: one does the breathing exercise three times a day for two days, and the other receives standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety, well-being, and infant stress levels using questionnaires.
